A full day here at the Methodists for World Mission conference. We have considered the refugee crisis from various perspectives under the title of the conference, ‘Moving people, moving stories’. This morning Tim Baker facilitated our Bible study using materials produced by Inderjit Bhogal and communicated via a video film, as Inderjit himself was down in my own District at an event in Taunton!
We have heard from various speakers through whole group sessions and workshops. This evening we were privileged to have members of the Karen community from Sheffield with us, sharing their singing and teaching some of us their dancing!
It has been good to see friends here. The glorious weather has allowed us to take coffee and tea breaks outside. Alison, Joyce and Diana were sharing a story this afternoon when I caught this photo. Might even become a caption competition?
