Dear Sisters,
In our “Let’s Talk About It!” series, we have committed to bringing the light of Christ into the corners of life that often stay in the shadows. This March, we are turning our attention to a topic that affects every household but is rarely discussed in our pews: Money.
We are living through a time where many are struggling under the “crushing weight of debt” and the rising tide of poverty in the UK. As a movement of women committed to justice, we ask: How does our faith speak to our finances? And how can the Church be a beacon of hope for those trapped in a cycle of lack?
Our Honoured Guest
We are privileged to welcome a sister who bridges the world of finance and faith with deep expertise and a Methodist heart:
Sally Bossingham is the Head of Church and Supporter Engagement at CAP, a UK based charity which supports the church to provide free face-to-face debt advice to people in the UK who are living under the crushing weight of debt. Sally is a Methodist local preacher, who has spent her career talking money with congregation members, charity supporters, family, friends and clergy.
Why Join Us?
This session is about more than just budgeting; it is about transformation and social justice. We will explore:
- Faith and Finance: A theological view of how we manage what God has entrusted to us.
- The Reality of Debt: Hearing the real-life stories shared by CAP’s clients to understand what poverty looks like in the UK today.
- A Church-Based Movement: How the Church is leading the way in transforming lives and offering a bridge to financial freedom.
