Rooted – Cultivating and Tending the Fruits of the Spirit
Saturday, July 11 • 10 AM – 3 PM
At Calverton Methodist Church, Collyer Road, Calverton NG14 6LZ
A retreat day to come, cultivate and tend to your garden, check your fruits and join in the shared work of discipleship.
Set in the lovely village of Calverton, Rooted is a day of retreat and reflection for women, created to gently nurture faith, deepen trust, and strengthen fellowship.
Together, we will explore the Fruits of the Spirit through Bible study, conversation, and activities, with plenty of space to breath and relax. This is not about getting everything ‘right’, but about noticing – where is God is already at work? Where are the tender buds of growth? What needs my care and attention today?
Throughout the day, we will:
-
Look honestly at our lives and faith journeys
-
Pick out the fruits already present, however small
-
Nurture what is growing with intention and encouragement
-
Tend the roots, noticing what may need healing, letting go, or renewing
There will be space for quiet reflection, creativity, and gentle accountability as we support one another, seeking to grow in our relationship with God and each other.
Come as you are. Leave rooted, encouraged, and gently equipped for the journey ahead.
If you like to read ahead, the two Bible verses we’ll be using to give us focus are Ezekiel 47:1-12 and Matthew 7: 1-6, 15-20.
Hosted by Nottingham North-East Circuit and All We Can and Notts & Derby Methodist Women.
