Hymn StF 746 v1 For all the saints who showed your love, in how they lived and where they moved, for mindful women, caring men, accept our gratitude again (words John L Bell and Graham Maule)
A Chit Chat Table in Costa meets on a weekly basis on a Wednesday morning in Berwick upon Tweed in the Lindisfarne Circuit. Anyone who wants to can come and join the table for a drink and chat for a few minutes or for longer. However long they are with us, they are made welcome for that period of time and there have been some positive conversations both long and short. This is ‘staffed’ by members of the Berwick congregation and supported by the staff at Costa. It is part of the Church’s commitment to being a ‘Welcoming Church’ and outreach to the community.
Prayer
We don’t know why people are drawn to the Chit Chat Table but pray that those who are will know Your Presence and that all involved in this will be blessed by you. We pray for those who visit, even temporarily, that they might see the love of God in us. We think of those who find Remembrance Sunday a difficult time, particularly those who have lost loved ones who gave their lives. Amen
